As a solopreneur, it’s important to set priorities and stay as organized as possible. Why? There is power in having a plan! Plus it will keep you sane and give you a focus for the week instead of being all over the place.
Take it from me, it’s just better to have a plan. With launches, new releases, sales, collabs, content, stats, finances, and so much more you will be doing yourself a favor. So today I wanted to share some of my top tips for planning for your business!
Schedule your biz planning time
Pick a day and time each week to sit down and come up with a plan of action. You can create what I call the KEY THREE. These are the three major tasks you want to focus on and/or finish for the upcoming week. Then, create a to do list around those three focuses.
Let your friends and family know this dedicated time is for your business. Put it on your calendar. Make it a meeting with yourself and your “team” haha — most likely you are your team 🙂 Make it a whole routine complete with snacks and some inspiring background music!
Track All The Things
There is nothing better than having a place to view how you progress over time. As you grow your business traffic, social media, and so much more it’s important to know where you stand. Taking a moment to capture your stats is very important. It allows for you to see what’s working. If you have a goal of growing on Instagram for example, you’ll want to see how you gradually increase your following as the weeks go on.
Tracking is also great when it comes to calculating your weekly sales. This is perfect for when you start tracking your finances regularly. Each business will be a bit different with what to focus on so figure out what matters to you most.
Find a Planning System
Whether you are a paper planner or a digital gal it’s important to find what fits. I am a bit of a hybrid planner. I love to write things down when I am planning out specifics such as launches and new releases. It’s also very gratifying to cross off a task on my to do list. I also love to use my digital Google calendar to keep up with important dates that come up for my business such as shipping out my subscription boxes.
It can take a while to find the right fit for you but there are so many options out there. In just a few weeks, I will be launching the printable Aspiring Creative Entrepreneurs ACE business planner.
I am sharing the weekly pages now and would love for you to try it out! These two pages will help you plan out each week, celebrate wins, track all the things, and so much more! Get the weekly business planning pages free download now!
BONUS TIP:
Quarterly Meetings
As a solopreneur, it’s important to touch on all areas of your business occasionally. I love to have a meeting with myself to plan all the things for the upcoming quarter. This is the perfect time to look ahead at holidays, sales, events, product ideas, social media posting, blog series, collabs, and more. Then from there you will be able to break out your plan into your upcoming weeks.
I hope that these tips will help you with getting organized in your business. Things just feel better when there is a plan and I think it is such a game changer!
Best Wishes,
Tatiana
